Guided Meditation

I have been to many events and lectures. Whether it was James Van Praagh, John Holland, Doreen Virtue or Sylvia Browne. Each event, they walk you through a bit of a guided meditation. Often being able to raise the vibration of the room and give you a more upbeat and relaxed feeling.

Some of the meditations have involved meeting my guide for the first time, located at a waterfall. I had known what he looked like and communicated with him before, but this actually felt like we were standing face to face and being able to hug him and thank him for the help on this journey was an amazing feeling.

The one that will really stand out to me for the rest of my life, is an Event that James Van Praagh had put on. It was in Richmond and was 6 months after my mom had crossed over.

He had us sit there with our eyes closed, palms facing up. This is what he told us to visualize:

You see yourself walking through the forest on a path. The path can be rocks, cobblestone, or even dirt. Seeing the path marked with flowers or rocks, and you walk through these large trees. Looking up you can see that they feel the sky as if your in a canopy of them. Lush and green. You continuing walking and finding this so peaceful. As you get further in, you notice its getting thinner further ahead, more light coming through and it opens up into this beautiful little area with a large fountain. There are seats around it and as you walk closer you notice that they are made out of marble. The seats are white with this intricate design going through. You reach down and you touch the seat. It’s cool to the touch and feels good against your skin. You turn around and sit down on this bench and look up. In front of you, is now your loved one who has crossed over..

Imagine my surprise, when there in front of me, stood my mom. She had on a white shirt, with some sort of picture on the front (likely a cat or similar). Black pants, and her black purse was hung over her right shoulder. She looked at me with tears in her eyes, I could feel how much she missed me. I cried (not just in the meditation, but real tears! Just like I am right now as I write this experience!) I stand up, and we move together and I hug her. I can feel her again and it’s so nice.

I can hear other people at this event crying too. It doesn’t last long before he brings everyone back to the room with getting us to open our eyes. I look to my right, the woman is crying, wiping her tears. I look to the left, my sister as well is crying.

I know how to tune into my psychic abilities, but I still have that side like we all do, questioning “is this real”? Later that night, without saying to my sister what I had seen, I asked her if she had seen mom. She said yes. I asked her “what was mom wearing when you seen her?” My sister described the EXACT same outfit that I had seen. Down to every little detail.

Guided meditations can be for more than just connecting you with your loved one. Here are more ways it can benefit you 🙂

Open up your psychic abilities

I truly believe that we are all psychic. We all have the ability to see into the future. Whether its a few minutes ahead to better prepare ourselves, or if our guides provide insight that allow us to choose the right direction.

Although we are all born with the ability, over time we tend to shut it off, or start to think of the signs we see or are just coincidence. Even when it lines up and you’re thinking “wow I knew this would happen” we still second guess what comes in!

What if I told you, starting to open up your abilities again is just a matter of tuning back in? I know, easier said than done right? Here is a quick visualization to signal to your guides that your open and ready. They will find ways to put opportunities in your path that will continue to increase the abilities that you have.

Take into consideration that no two psychics are alike. Our life experiences are always going to be different, the messages we receive from our guides will be tailored to those experiences so we can interpret the images better not only for ourselves but potential clients.

Just as there is more than one psychic ability, you will find that one area will be stronger and more developed than someone else. Does not mean that you can’t work on other psychic abilities, just means one will be easier for you than the others.

VISUALIZING TECHNIQUE

I want you to find a quiet place. Sitting with your legs straight and not crossed, hands in your lap with your palms facing up. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths.

I want you to picture an eye ball on your forehead. Just above your brow lines and in the centre. You will visualize your third eye opening, and then blinking a few times. This will signal to your guides that you’re ready and willing to listen.

If you are feeling over whelmed (which can happen if your empathic ability is really heightened) visualize your third eye closing and remaining closed. This might give you a bit of time to re-centre yourself!


Protect against negative energy

Protect yourself from negative energy!

When you start to open up your own Psychic gifts, a lot of the times you will notice your Empathic abilities heightened first. This means that you feel EVERYTHING. Could even include any negative energy that other people are carrying around, or spirits that sense that your more “awake”. It’s always best to protect yourself when possible. Whether it’s your day to day life, or if you’re trying to provide readings for other people. Here are a few quick ways to protect yourself!

When providing readings, it’s always best to “ground” yourself. I am sure that you have heard this many times before, but here is a quick technique to get you started.

Sitting with your hands face up in your lap, and your eyes closed, visualize yourself standing tall. You are a giant oak tree. Your feet are going to grow roots and dig deep into Mother Earth. The rest of you, your long body and head and arms continue to reach up and grow taller and taller until you are the tallest tree. You can see everything around you, feeling the breeze. Visualize the beautiful sun shining it’s rays down on you and into your crown chakra. Feel the warmth and allow this energy to go through you, down into the roots you have created.

Another way would be to utilize stones as a way to offer protection. Carrying it in your pocket, your bra, in your purse, under your pillow etc. I think you get the picture!
